The Flood of '93 poem

To much rain
A lot of pain
Everyone going insane
Sandbaggers build levees
30-40 feet high
Levees in the sky
A flood arriving
Everyone striving for safety
Tidal wave after tidal wave
One by one
Wishing they had a drought,
but it wasn’t going to work out
It’s a demolition
People had adrenalin
Waders needed
The levees needed to be bolstered
The days and nights were sweltering
It all came to a halt
After days the flood began to tribute
